Membership Terms & Conditions
By agreeing to the terms and conditions when purchasing a membership product to become a member of the West & North Yorkshire Chamber, you have entered into a twelve-month contract, covering a package of benefits and services.
By joining, you are bound by our terms as per our Memorandum & Articles of Association:
2.13 A Member may terminate membership by giving notice in writing at least three months before the day when his subscription shall next be due. If no such notice is received, the Member shall be liable for the subscription for the ensuing year which shall be a debt due to and legally recoverable by the Chamber.
The Chamber is a not-for-profit organisation and membership is an annual contract, based on the yearly costs we need to pay out to support our members – some of these are paid by us up front for each member at the commencement of their membership or at the anniversary of their renewal, (for example British Chamber subscriptions, HR and legal support etc.) so early cancellation of membership fees often results in a loss for us, therefore the 3 months’ notice period helps us to offset some of these costs.
